在2018年泰国一所学校的足球队加上教练总共十三名人员再一次训练之后有当地教练的带领下进入泰国的一个公园进行游玩，然而在游玩过程当中却突然遇到天降大于大雨导致山上引发山洪，将13名人员被困在一个山洞当中，而这些出口全部都已经被洪水所淹没。要想救出这些人员，唯一的办法就只能通过潜水区域。将这些被困的人员13认拯救出来，然而当地开放水域的潜水员对于洞穴潜水的经验几乎为零。由于不熟悉地形和作业方式最终经历多次，也没有找到被文困的足球队就在这时一名资深的洞穴探险员斯坦顿和沃兰森也加入了这支队伍。
